funny shit&reviews

http://colinresponse.wordpress.com/senbei-co-slanguage/

TOO MUCH EP/MIXTAPES/FREEALBUMS to listen to.

ok here's the run down,

Charles Hamilton - the Pink Lava Lamp 4 out of 5
easily likeable, and smooth beats, touching, but lyrically, doesnt hit me or snicker the way i expect him to.

Kid Cudi - a Kid named Cudi

pretty good, like 3.8out of 5

he definitively has the hipster vote on this one, with the plethora of instrumentals, not strictly limited to electro and hip-hop beats, he manages to even sing on some, such as my favorite "the prayer" sampled from "the funeral - band of horses". his versatility will make him a stand out for 2009 when his album drops. just beware he can get you sleepy at times.

uhm who else, underground?

naww lets talk rawk.

franz ferdinand's Tonight really stirred up the pop word with this one,

just as good as their last efforts, this time with a little electronic twinge like everything else nowadays. a couple of standouts are, Twilight Omens, What She Came For(innuendo much?), and Dream Again.

there are always looked over songs that shoul've could've been b-sides.

and then the singles are always solid. mainly the No You Girls being the most catchy and latest.

a remake of a never officially released/leaked song: Can't Stop Feeling, and cant help but feel a little isolated and cold by the synths on this one. almost as much by the album version of Lucid Dreams. which was way too lucid for me.

overall rating 4.3 of 5.

TOKiMONSTA's Attention Deficit Disorder mixtape are a collection of pretty good remixes by her.

Senbei's Shikata Ga Nai EP Vol.2

that phrase literally translates to "it can't be helped."

this could apply to many things in life, like my mediocre-ness, lack of perseverance to pursue my hobbies and past times on a more serious level. that struck me as something very intriguing.

in his intro track he give a real intro about him for those that don't know him, and the people that do shout outs. since he's from that contra costa area which is made of richmond, el cerrito, san pablo, part of 510. YAY my east bay roots. even though it was only for a year.

his name is pretty dope, if you know Japanese food you'll know why he chose his name.

despite him being hapa; of mixed ethnicity in Japanese, usually white, he picked senbei which is a type japanese cracker. i LAUFFF, its funny that he chose that. it be the worst name for battling, but atleast its not dumb as some peoples such as using ph- instead of "f", and all other sorts of bullshit-ery.

and the one song that hit me was "chameleon", which i feel like i could take up because i distinctly do not fit into one stereotype, or demographic.

and the song "mixed president ft. slavename" mmmmMMMMMMM. funny and ill at the same time.

ALDRICH get on this, you'll love his work. he's nujabes except hapa.

i'll finish this later
